Last minute packing.

I relented and mounted the spare tire, I hope we don't need it.  It does come at some cost. It weighs about 100 pounds and moves the scooter aft about a foot, which puts more stress on the hitch and increases the probability of driveway scrapes (I will just have to be careful). The spare also makes it a bit more difficult to access the rear compartment, although it is accessible from inside the RV by lifting the rear lounge.

I also put the bicycles on the front. I removed my seat and rotated June's handle bars down to improve visibility.  There is not much that can be done about the fact that the headlights get interference from the bicycle wheels, although it is not nearly as big an issue as one might think. That being said, we do avoid driving at night when traveling, it is just less stressful.

With the front and rear loaded my total length grows from 24' 6" to 30' 3". If I had a place to weigh it, I would, but I expect we are tipping close to or over the GVWR of 11,030 lbs.

June gave me new golf clubs for Christmas and of course I would like to try them out before May.

I put them in a waterproof bag and put them on the roof.  I have carried foldable kayaks on the roof before, so it is not something new.  The bag is secured with double stick velcro, but also added some safety straps attached to the AC unit and the TV antenna.

This afternoon we are going to visit my Mom and finish up packing. I plan to play hockey tomorrow morning, when I get home we will head out, hopefully around 12N or sooner.
