Today is Wednesday and we plan to leave in less than a week, on Tuesday the 19th. We are pretty unprepared so this is a target not a hard date.
Today, I did do the usual walk around on the Serenity Falcon, check the fluids, air up the tires etc. Everything looks good to go.
I am having a personal debate on bringing a spare tire. The Serenity doesn't come with one, but I made a carrier when we thought we were going to Alaska before Covid. We are planning on driving over 7000 miles, I probably should....hmm. I know if I don't bring it, I will have a flat.
Our proposed route is pretty optimistic.
7300 miles
47 Days
Lots of $$
It is a plan, subject to the 'whims of weather' and all the other stuff that never goes as planned.
For this trip I am using a new trip planner called 'RV Life Trip Wizard', it is not free, but not crazy expensive at $65 per year. 2024 will be a test drive to see if it is worth it.

Safe travels!!! If you detour, let us know. - Liz and John
ReplyDeleteSounds fabulous. Safe travels and buy a tire!!
ReplyDeleteOK, OK, .... I have a spare, I just did not want to carry another 100 lbs, but I did put it on.
DeleteFeeling the pressure…and the excitement of getting away! Planning for a trip to St. John while on the road is a little worrisome, what did we forget??
ReplyDeleteYou have an ambitious travel loop. Have fun!
